Two ax-throwing venues swing into Denver

Canadian backyard shenanigans make their way to Colorado this summer.

A new sport is coming to Denver: Ax throwing.

Two recreational ax-throwing venues opening this summer are trying to prove that Canadian backyard shenanigans can be as popular as bowling and pub darts, with a little more risk.

In large open rooms, pairs of competitors square off inside metal cages that protect spectators — perhaps beers in hand — from hatchets flying toward large wooden targets.

The owners hope to capitalize on a growing national trend, captivating corporate team-bonding groups, competitive ax throwers, bachelorette parties and downtown bar-hoppers with what they call an exciting new way to spend a Saturday night.

Downtown Art Gallery and Axe Room was the first to market with a soft opening on June 16. For now, the 5,600-square-foot art gallery and ax-throwing venue at 2000 Lawrence St. in Lower Downtown is only open to scheduled groups. Patrons each pay $35 for a three-hour session.

Sounds . . . interesting. :whistling: There are pictures of the enclosures at the link.

A new sport is coming to Denver: Ax throwing.

This is because dwarf tossing was deemed to be politically incorrect and insensitive.

Time to notify the Ax Control activists!
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.
