I've gone to church a lot in my life and I cannot once recall any sermon about sex being evil. I can't even find that in my Bible. All I can find is passages celebrating love and sex as God intended them to be expressed.
The Song of Songs is one of the most beautiful erotic love poems ever written.
"Your two breasts are like two fawns,
like twin fawns of a gazelle
that browse among the lilies."
Somehow I can't see that being written by an uptight prude. It celebrates intimacy. Of course, that kind of intimacy can usually only be found in committed relationships. When you sleep with anything that isn't nailed down it's just ****ing.
It's always a private matter and everyone is always SO uptight when it's about a dem, well except for Bill Clinton just this year because his wife was running against the messiah. Jesse Jackson, John Edwards, Barney Fraink's lover running an escort service out of their home...are all private matters and anyone who thinks it should be anything but a private matter is just an uptight fundy. John McCain's nonaffair with some lobbyist and Larry Craiig's wide stance well, that's entirely different...that MUST be discussed daily, milked for all the political fodder it can. It's in the public interest you know and it's not just about sex...it's about trust, honesty, integrity, even morality. But then, when you have no moral backbone yourself you can excuse just about anything in your leaders...everyone else has to take the moral high ground. You don't need to read Faulkner to find examples of irony, just visit the DUmp.
