Happy New Year!
« on: December 31, 2016, 07:43:27 PM »
What was good?  What was bad?

I spent Feb-May looking for a job, after a restructuring.  Found a job I really liked, except for a couple of things.  Then in November, got restructured out again.  Major SUCK.  Businesses dying like flies here.

We kicked the DUmbasses to the curb.  That was great.

Happy New Year!
We at CC are lucky, we get TWO new years, tonight and Jan 20th.

The Good: Trump won.
The Bad: after the good point, I can't think of any right now.

Yep we sure do.  That will be a major holiday.  I'm thinking Prime Rib.

What else was good?  My beautiful stepdaughter got married in July.  What a fun wedding.

The stock market went gangbusters at year end.

A nephew in law also got married (see some people still do that).  Another fun wedding and a chance to have a hotel room all to myself for a night.  LOVE THAT.

I'm going to take January 20th off, I think.

The bad: I was off work for 3 months relying on crutches or a wheel chair for most of that time.

The good: Hillary lost.

Minus: lost my job
Plus: forced me to go into business for myself and earned 2X my annual salary in 6 months

Minus: Cancer surgery
Plus: Cancer completely gone
Kinda minus: still hurts (shoulder) months later

Of course, Trump is the major league PLUS

Overall, I say 2016 was good but VERY traumatic/dramatic.  Not a year I would relive.  I probably would not survive a replay.

Always best wishes!  Yeah, but it ended up as one hell of a year.

Trump obliterated Hillary as a footnote in history.

Cubs won the World Series for first time in 108 years.  Not that I'm necessarily a fan of them.  But living near the ballpark for years & going to games, pretty damn cool.

Oh yeah, Trump won.

Some other positive personal stuff too.

There is some event on January 20th that I'll be at as well.

Did I neglect to mention that Trump won the election!

Happy new year friends!

Oh freedumb2003,  :blowkiss:  and a big hug.  The cave doesn't have an icon for hugs, too squishy, I guess.  I hope your 2017 is healthy, happy, and successful.

:lmao:I made this thread for Funkyzero to bring up the post count ( he lost many after the brief blackout).  Then, he took a shower and left me hanging at the bar.  I don't know if he's dressed yet, but say anything, FZ!

No, but ask me on the right day and I might trade this one for a boat motor...

It is 2017 on the east coast right now.

What are my hopes? To see Trump invalidating executive orders and regulations on Day one.
and to drive media shills before him, and to hear the lamentations of Liberal girly-men.
