A lot of Republican voters need to learn that same lesson. If they vote for a candidate, then they  are responsible for his bad acts, because they helped put him there. They have no room to complain.

The only exception I would give to that is if a candidate makes a promise, but once they're in office they do the opposite or you otherwise find out they lied about their true motives.

However, if a candidate does what they say they're going to do, and it goes sour, then yes, the one who voted to have that happen has no room to complain.
