What's Worse-Prison or Shaming
« on: January 19, 2008, 05:01:18 PM »
Since OJ Simpson is back in the news. Despite his acquittal, he is shunned by the public. One has to wonder what is worse, being shamed or going to prison or both.

I am still convinced he brutally murdered two people.  I think he should be rotting in prison while awaiting his final appeal for the death penalty about now.
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

OJ is so rich he can "rent" friends, and buy companionship.
Shaming is woos liberal excuse for not protecting the public, "He was shamed, he must feel so bad right now."

OJ's trial should of been a mistrial for multiple reasons. The trial was too long and the prosecutor screwed it up. Also, the jury pool should of been more diverse.

The fact this is even up for discussion indicates to me what a warped worldview many people have.  Shaming and public shunning should be the natural result of the belief that somebody committed a crime.  That is not a punishment in and of itself.  I'm all for prison, especially for OJ

OJ is broke as Hell. No one will ever hire him. It is only asking for trouble.

I just used OJ as an example for public shaming. I should of been more specific because of Lori Drew and the Megan Meier My Space suicide case, in which she was not charged, but could be at a federal level.

I have no sympathy for OJ Simpson. He such a moron. I am sure OJ will be imprisoned this year. He will spend the rest of his life in prison. I am sure he will be shunned in prison.

A friend of mine has a saying.  Bukake for Justice.

I'll let you look it up.
"Chuck Norris once had sex in an 18 wheeler. Some of his semen dripped onto the engine. We now call that truck Optimus Prime."
