New terror threat against Germany

There's been a fresh Islamist threat to Germany via a second Internet video since Friday. This has raised new concerns that al-Qaeda-linked terrorists may be trying to scare German voters before next weekend's polls.

Thirty-two-year-old Bekkay Harrach reportedly appears once again in an Internet video to warn Germans of a possible terror attack.
Germany's BKA federal police confirmed in Berlin on Sunday that a new message had appeared, but added only that it contained no specific threat. A BKA spokeswoman said the content still had to be analyzed.

Police said an audio message was posted under the title "O Allah! I love you". Harrach, a German of Moroccan parentage, is said to appear veiled in a series of photographs.

According to the BKA, which has confirmed the authenticity of the tape, Harrach speaks in German and his message is addressed to Germany but does not constitute a specific threat.

Security stepped up

The latest video warning came even as federal police officers wearing bullet-proof vests and toting sub-machine-guns fanned out to patrol airports, major railway stations and the key streets in the capital Berlin.

The boost in security came after the first terror video was posted on the Internet on Friday.

I hate to say it but Germany may be a lost cause. Merkel is hell bent on keeping the borders open while her neighbors are shutting theirs.

As far as I have read, this report hasn't been confirmed:

Leaked police report claims senior police officers feared fatalities and that one of those involved in attacks told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs Merkel invited me"

The article goes on to say:

A local newspaper reported that fifteen asylum-seekers from Syria and Afghanistan were briefly held by police on New Year's Eve in connection with the sex attacks but were released.
The Express newspaper quoted an unnamed police officer who said his squad had detained several people who had "only been in Germany for a few weeks".
"Of these people, 14 were from Syria and one was from Afghanistan. That's the truth. Although it hurts," he said.

"Horrifying details emerge of Cologne attacks."

Information continues to emerge on the war zone that erupted in Cologne, Germany on New Year’s Eve, when thousands of imports from Islamic lands threw bottles and fireworks into crowds and at the police, as well as molested, raped, attacked, robbed, knifed, spat, defecated, urinated, vomited, ranted, and raved as they turned an area of a beautiful city into a site of utter barbarism.  (Other cities in Germany experienced similar violence on New Year’s Eve, which is only now beginning to be reported.)

The article is detailed & disturbing.  The attempted cover-up is shameful.

Initially it appears that the police hid the truth from the public when, on New Year’s Day, they announced that the festivities from the night before had been peaceful with a “jolly atmosphere.”  But as victims came forward with reports of rape and robbery and as protesters took to the streets to register their anger at the alleged inaction by the authorities, the truth and the scope of what unfolded began to leak out.  When the police chief was asked why the police department claimed that things on New Year’s eve were calm, he said: “That was wrong.  For this we apologize.”

One German man witnessed the attacks from his hotel room; unfortunately he himself became a victim.

He described how perpetrators jumped on the heads of victims who were already lying on the ground as he reflected on his prior impressions of the immigration issue and “right wing propaganda” that now seemed to be corrected after his confrontation with reality.

He also discussed police ineptitude, describing how constraining attackers proved useless since there were no transports to take them to jail and there were no jail cells available since they were filled to capacity.  To make room for the next bunch of savages (my word, not his), they released those who had been rounded up earlier, who then resumed their violent behavior.

"The morally repugnant response to the Cologne sexual assault gang."

If Europe begins to unravel in 2016, the proximate cause will have been the events in Cologne around midnight on Jan. 1.

An outline of the key features in this article:
- The 1st stories started coming out on 1/4 - 1/5 had a similar theme:  something bad happened on NYE in Cologne "and it will cause people in Europe to think bad thoughts about immigrants, refugees and migrants" or the pro-immigration politicians.
- The real scandal wasn't that immigrants had "groped, harassed, robbed and raped women in the street.  Or that police were inept or unwilling to stop it."  Instead, the scandal was those that "cooperated with the real evil stalking Europe:  the populist backlash against mass immigration and its political enablers."
- So it was the poor immigrants that didn't know any better & women should adopt "a code of conduct" in order to avoid sexual assault."  The immigrants don't know how to "party correctly, and that can be remedied in only Germans educated them."

Germany this week finalized a deal with Facebook, Google, and Twitter to censor German "hate speech" about migrants and refugees on social media — though it's not clear at all where the line lies. Is a complaint about migrants enough to have your Facebook post taken down? Also, this week Merkel rejected a proposed cap of taking just 200,000 refugees in 2016.

   

The message to ordinary Germans is clear: You can't be allowed to say what you are thinking. And you probably shouldn't think it either.
